download
Release status, honestly
There is no signed public download of Orvlet yet, so this page has no download button. Here is exactly what you can get today and what is still missing.
| Artifact | Status | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Source build (macOS) | AVAILABLE · PREVIEW | Build from a checkout with pnpm bootstrap, then
pnpm dev:desktop. See getting started. |
| macOS local preview app | AVAILABLE · AD-HOC SIGNED | Package Orvlet Preview.app for your own Apple Silicon Mac with the documented preview command. Not notarized; local testing only. |
| Signed, notarized public release | NOT PUBLISHED | Complete packaged release acceptance is still open. When a signed release is verified, it will appear here with its version, checksums, signatures and source commit — and nowhere else first. |
| Public source repository | NOT PUBLISHED | Development is in a private canonical repository. The public export will use fresh, sanitized history. See open source. |
| Windows / Intel Mac builds | NOT OFFERED | Orvlet targets Apple Silicon Macs. There is no Windows or Intel Mac package, and Windows is not a supported remote host. |
System requirements
- macOS 27 or later on Apple Silicon.
- Credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain; commands run under the macOS sandbox.
- A model you provide. Model weights are not bundled.
Updates
There are no automatic or forced updates. Settings → What's new → Check for updates makes one request to a signed release feed per click; a download is verified against that feed and installing is always your step.
Beware of look-alikes. Because Orvlet is Apache-2.0, anyone may build and redistribute it — but only builds from this site (once published) or from source you built yourself carry the project's signatures and provenance. A random “Orvlet” installer from elsewhere is not official, whatever it claims.
How official releases will be identified: trademark, signing and provenance.
